Appointed as mediator by the Baltimore City Circuit Court to preside over pre-trial settlement conferences in civil cases, Mr. Kramer also serves frequently as an arbitrator in lawsuits throughout Maryland. Profiled in Who's Who in American Law and in A.M. Best's Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys, Mr. Kramer is regarded as one of the nation's most dynamic and entertaining lecturers on litigation strategy and procedure and has trained thousands of successful trial lawyers throughout the country.

After graduating summa cum laude from Towson University, Mr. Kramer earned his Juris Doctor with high honors from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he won the school's moot court championship and was inducted into the Order of the Coif for his high academic standing.  He received a Master of Laws degree from the Columbia University School of Law and serves as a Vice President of Columbia Law School Alumni Association of Washington, D.C.  Mr. Kramer is a member of the bar in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and several federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States.

JAMES M. CONNOLLY

Prior to law school, Mr. Connolly received his undergraduate education from St. Alphonsus College in Connecticut and earned Master of Divinity and Master of Religious Education degrees from Mount St. Alphonsus Seminary in New York. At the University of Maryland School of Law, Mr. Connolly served as Associate Editor of the Maryland Law Review, excelled in the school's clinical law program and completed a fellowship with the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.

After receiving his Juris Doctor degree, Mr. Connolly served as litigation counsel in the Office of the Attorney General of Maryland, participating in class action lawsuits on behalf of the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Thereafter, Mr. Connolly represented nonprofit organizations as an attorney with the Community Law Center in Baltimore, where he litigated numerous actions for injunctive relief and administrative remedies.  Mr. Connolly is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia bars, the bar of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

Having served as general counsel to a major regional manufacturer, Mr. Hiller also shares his understanding of complex business transactions when conducting business risk management audits designed to minimize corporate liability and to prevent future litigation.  Representing both large and small businesses at Kramer & Connolly, he applies his practical knowledge of business concerns to meet the needs and sense of urgency of busy business executives.  He also serves as legal counsel to several national, regional and local charitable organizations and foundations and has addressed numerous organizations on methods of minimizing business liability, business formation, the special status of non-profit entities, the protection of trade secrets and effective business contracts.
