After a two-week trial, a federal jury in Baltimore has awarded more than $1 million to a Maryland couple whose insurance carrier refused to pay after their house burned down. Mutual Benefit Insurance Company claimed that the couple falsely inflated the amount of their losses, but the jury found otherwise and ordered the insurer to pay Kramer & Connolly's clients the sum of $1,023,147.
